Be Still My Heart
Be Still My Heart stages a lighthearted conversation between classical art and contemporary desire. Drawing on Titian’s Venus with a Mirror, a digitally reworked Venus leans from her gilded frame toward a necklace just out of reach.

Historical homage meets present-day sensibility in a meticulously built scene. The necklace — citrine, mother-of-pearl, freshwater pearls, and Murano glass with gold foil — rests on a velvet stand whose green recalls Titian’s palette, while the pearls’ soft blush echoes Venus’s skin.
The work invites reflection on how beauty, longing, and ornament persist across centuries — Renaissance reference made newly relevant in a contemporary narrative assemblage.
