War & Peace (Tools of the Trade)
The War & Peace series juxtaposes the perception of the abilities and intelligence of women in the early 1940s (when the US government sought to recruit women in the war effort ) with those of women in the postwar years (when women were expected to return to domestic duties)
Tools of the Trade contrasts the tools women were encouraged to use during World War II with the tools they were expected to use during the early 1950s.
