The Ocean Floor presents an accusatory glare from beneath the waves. A lone fish glides above a littered bottom, eye directed at the viewer — an understated yet pointed reminder of human impact on fragile marine ecosystems.
 
Found objects mingle with miniature objects, carnelian, Murano glass, and freshwater pearls to form a richly textured underwater tableau. The tactile mix suggests both sediment and shimmer — the uneasy beauty of a compromised habitat. The elongated format invites a panoramic sweep, echoing the fish’s measured passage and rewarding sustained viewing.
